They do not fear bad news;
they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.
They are confident and fearless
and can face their foes triumphantly.
they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.
They are confident and fearless
and can face their foes triumphantly.
- Psalm 112:7-9
Here God instructs us not to worry. Worry contaminates our
hearts so easily with the stress of people and school/work, and distracts us
from keeping our hearts set on Christ. We must stop speaking in fear of tragedy
or negativity, and instead TRUST that Jesus is omniscient, and there is not a
single minute that He is not interceding to the Father on your behalf.
We are instructed to speak in confidence, knowing that God’s
grace is so consistent, and that we are individually cared for by Jesus
himself. Remaining confident becomes pure when your confidence stems from
Christ alone, and when your dependency is on God’s faithfulness, you become so
rooted in His promise of never ending LOVE.
We must seek hearts that rejoice in times of struggle.
Developing through the hardest situations with a joyful heart reflects the centre
of a person’s heart... CHRIST. When tackling obstacles, we often turn to every
other person BUT Jesus, and then wonder why we are still hurt over that
situation months later. Instead, we must renew our strength from Jesus alone
and cling onto Him even more, remaining fearless as we pour into in Him as our
comforter.
Be encouraged by the thought that God will reward those who
depend on Him through the good and bad, and that our confidence in His power indicates
our spiritual maturity growing. Remain
confident knowing that God longs to protect you. Keep your confidence based on
the cross.
