Feeling distracted,
stressed out, or burnt out lately?
Never neglect your
personal quiet time with God, for that is where your spirit will be revived and
you can receive wisdom about a situation that is hindering your relationship
with Christ. Use prayer, fasting and the Word to fix your mind upon things of
above that are pleasing to God.
Prayer for stress and feeling
overwhelmed
Lord,
I come to your throne broken, tired
and exhausted, knowing that you are the God over my life. I thank you for your
goodness to me despite the storm, and I trust in your role as my protector,
provider and source of comfort. Father, I don’t understand everything going on
around me, or why I feel a certain way at times, but I do know that the peace
of Jesus Christ surpasses all understanding. Lord you tell me in your word that
I should cast all of my care onto you and you will replace the conflict in my
heart with your perfect peace and love. When I come before you, I know I can
receive grace, strength and wisdom to get through my daily life. Please help me
to devote time daily to you so that you can mould be each day to be more like
You and less like me. Restore my soul so that I will be able to represent your
Kingdom to the highest level without feeling negatively about the life you have
blessed me with. God you never leave me, and your love never fails. Enable me
to trust in you even when I want to give up and to persevere, the same way your
Son Jesus did on the cross.
In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
Matthew
11:28-30
"Come to me, all
you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you
and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest
for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Isaiah
32:17
And the effect of
righteousness will be peace and the result of righteousness, quietness and
trust forever.
