Righteous Lions
The righteous lions are the ones who trust in the Lord and
have faith backed up with wisdom and prayer.
Did you know that you have been created by an extraordinary
God, called to do extraordinary things, set apart from the rest, and from that
there is a need to be bold?
In the Word there are numerous examples of men and women
exhibiting boldness i.e Jesus, the man himself, Esther, Moses, Joshua, Ruth,
David the list is endless. Have you noticed that when they needed to be bold the
most it was in time of turmoil, struggle, hardships or pain? If you look at
this verse, Proverbs 28:1 ‘ The wicked flee though no one pursues but the
righteous are as bold as a lion’ this shows how important this trait is in the midst of intangible ‘worldly
problems’. Move like a righteous lion.
The enemy knows exactly what you are capable of with God and
will stop at nothing to prevent you from reaching your full potential in life
and fulfilling your goals; this is the main reason being bold is so necessary
as a child of God. This scripture shows the simplicity of this, Psalms 138:3
‘When I called you, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted’.
As humans it is seen as natural to be filled with fear, fear
of failure, fear of making mistakes, fear of uncertainty, to name a few , but
this trait is not from God. Just have a look at 2 Timothy 1:7 which states ‘
For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but he has given us a spirit of power,
of love, and of a sound mind’.
Essentially boldness comes from our confidence in Christ,
and then the Holy Spirit helps us to continue in Gods plans with the use of
boldness.
We have been given the privilege to go to God in prayer. It’s
easy to pray simple prayers as we may not feel deserving, have lack of faith and
even lack confidence that God is listening, let alone that He will answer, but
you need to switch up this prayer mentality. Why not pray boldly! Pray beyond
your expectations and you will see God make miraculous moves in your life. Get
into that mind frame of praying with audacity because the Lord delights in
these types of conversations. He is ready and listening and these prayers make
a difference, as long as it is in line with His will oh won’t He do it!
As children of God we
are meant to be set apart from the rest. Just by looking at your day to day
others should see you exhibit this trait of boldness. Move boldly, you never
know who you could be inspiring or motivating just by having that air of
boldness surrounding you, and with that people will soon discover that God is
behind it all. Have a look at Acts 4 and look at the boldness and courage that
Peter and John showed before the Sanhedrin, such a great example of boldness
backed with godly wisdom!
As stated earlier God has called us to do extraordinary
things on our time on earth and in today’s world it’s so easy to be complacent
and be overly comfortable in our current situations, (whether it’s good or bad)
and it takes that step of boldness to move onto the next level that God has for
your life.
Remember you will be held accountable for what God called
you to do on earth, not for what you have done on earth. It’s time to step out
in boldness and fulfil your destiny!
In everything that you do: Pray boldly, live boldly, praise
boldly!
P.s There are many misconceptions of being bold so remember
to be gentle in your boldness.
Let’s do this guys!
